Do people ever bother reading an astrology book before asking astrology questions?

used books stores
online books
Barnes & Noble has chairs.
(common sense)

Suggestion by ScorpioMoon
Most libraries don’t carry them and it’s free to ask on yahoo answers.
Used books stores and online books cost money. There’s a lot of crap written out there, who knows which authors are more competent than God knows who else. Since we have so many ‘experts’ and ‘professionals’ on this site, it’s more simple to just ask here.

LOL@ Case!

There are truly many good books to read, I have a small library of a few hundred astrology books, and can honestly say I have learn something from each of them. Maybe it is a small quirpy thing, sometimes it is profound. As the other post suggests that books are a waste of money, there are some books out there are truly are. One of the best places to go online is the astrology bookstore, and there is a vast treasure. Yes, it cost money to learn. You can also buy some good used books as well. Sometimes, there are sales of books from estates, and they are usually great books as professional astrologers do usually have a good collection on the topic.
For those who think reading an article will teach you theory, you would sadly lose. Also to actually study, or join a study group – yes there are some online, or a astro book club, which helps to bounce concepts and ideas of a certain topic. Big book store chains seldom carry good books, rather they sell books that the general public wants, not a serious student.
Afterall would you go to a professional who did not go to school? Most would say no.

Did you ever stop to think how gross it is to take a close up shot of your a** flesh and use it as your avatar?

I had a big astrology library but had to sell them in my second marriage. My mom got me Planets in Transit for my birthday and even though I had this book decades ago I am enjoying reviewing it since I didn’t have time to study astrology for almost two decades as I am a single mother of a grown honor student senior in college now so this is a good book that can be used even for interpreting natal charts too. So I enjoy this book as two decades ago I didn’t have the practical experience and also the observation skills used during those “non-reading” decades. It is really a classic astrology book that again can be used for natal interpretation AND transit analysis too.

I like to suggest getting a pocket calendar (llewellyn has a great one that I use) and closely follow the moon through the phases and the signs and when the moon is void-of-course. (when it is better to kick back and is a “non-action” time). Again good ol’ Mom gets me my calendar every year for Christmas and when the world is kinda “nutty” it is often a full moon which is great for practical observation.

Hope this is helpful and good luck and bless you too. And I have been out of school for over thirty years! lol
